"The West is the best, get here and we'll do the rest..."

Most people have a love/hate relationship with Los Angeles.
In his 1950's classic Sunset Boulevard, Billy Wilder depicts a behind the scenes hollywood where self deceit, spiritual emptiness, greed and narcissism is the sad and bitter price of fame.
Brett Easton Ellis often described it as a soulless city, driven by a passive, disaffected population, self-absorbed in the pursuit of their Californian contentment.
James Ellroy envisions it as a neo-noir, glamourous and politically corrupted metropolis.
There are so many different layers to L.A just like there are many stages in life.
One of the most wonderful aspects of the city is that it is what you make of it...
I see the observatory in CinemaScope and WarmerColor, Ed Ruscha's painted landscapes, "The store where the creatures meet" on Laurel Canyon, David Hockney's explosion of colors in his swimming pool series, Mulholland Dr.'s hazardous road, the Pacific ocean breeze on a warm summer night, Topanga Canyon's rocky cliffs, Richard Neutra's geometric airy structures or the sometimes apocalyptic Santa Ana winds declaring the arrival of autumn.

Thousands of artists, musicians, poets, actors arrive every year with great expectations, looking for something different, vibrant and inspirational.
Let go of your expectations, make it your own.

REVOLVER

Absolutely Blown away by French band Revolver!
Imagine a post Beatles, 1970's Paul McCartney meeting up with Serge Gainsbourg and Elliot Smith to collaborate on some psychedelic, folk rock tunes in an empty bedroom deprived of modern day technology...
The French trio composed of Ambroise (Vocals Guitar Piano), Christophe (Vocals Guitar) and Jeremie (Cello Vocals) have already released their 5 tracks first EP (Available on Itunes) and are now getting ready for the release of their new album.

With their name stolen from one of the best Beatles studio Album, the Parisian trio sounds like the most promising young band of the year.
